Speed School Tablet PC Minimum Requirements

In this episode of Tablet Tips, Jared and Travis discuss the minimum specifications you should look for when buying a Tablet PC when entering Speed School along with some tips for the technical savvy students. Recommended viewing for incoming students and their parents.

Requirements:
Dual Core Processor (Intel recommended)
2GB of RAM
Windows Vista

Additionally, an active digitizer is highly, highly recommended. Dual mode digitizers are acceptable.

If you want to use Linux you need to dual boot or run Linux in a virtual machine. Jared recommends VirtualBox and Travis recommends Parallels.

It is important to note that the Speed School of Engineering has official recommendations for what Tablet PC to purchase. Additionally, the above requirements may change as computer improve and the program continues to adapt to the needs of students and professors.
