The WIPTE 2009 conference had many excellent presentations about using Tablet PCs in an educational setting. Many of these presentations focused on software that is useful in education. While DyKnow and Classroom Presenter were some of the more obvious pieces of software being used, some more obscure software was highlighted at the conference.
They are as follows:
OrganicPad: "OrganicPad is a educational tool designed for users to freely draw molecules in an intuitive manner. OrganicPad is currently being funded by the NSF."
From Clemson University
ZoomIt: "ZoomIt is screen zoom and annotation tool for technical presentations that include application demonstrations. ZoomIt runs unobtrusively in the tray and activates with customizable hotkeys to zoom in on an area of the screen, move around while zoomed, and draw on the zoomed image. I wrote ZoomIt to fit my specific needs and use it in all my presentations."
